Database Development & Administration
SQL Server is home ground. I design, tune and run production databases end to end — high availability that holds, backups that actually restore, execution plans read line by line and indexes placed with intent. When something is slow, I answer with wait stats and milliseconds, not guesses.
ERP Development & Administration
Certified Pantheon administrator and ARES Pascal developer. I make the ERP talk to the real world: every register across every site stays in sync, warehouse scales print exactly what the database says, and payment terminals settle cleanly at checkout. The glue between the system and the shop floor.
A three-node virtualization cluster, SAN storage, Windows Server, firewalls and site-to-site VPNs linking six-plus locations — designed, hardened and run single-handedly.
Dashboards and reports people actually open — Power BI, Jaspersoft and heavily automated Excel. If a number matters to the business, it shows up on time, every time.
Custom middleware, device and payment protocols, and SQL Server Agent automation — the connective tissue between systems that were never designed to talk to each other.
02 / Results
Production storage was choking under write load. I traced the stalls through the virtualization stack down to the disk format itself — and rebuilt the storage layout live, with the business running on top of it.
Stock calculation was the slowest thing in the company, and everyone had learned to live with it. I redesigned it from the ground up around indexed views — and made the wait disappear.
Nine core tables and their indexes reorganised onto an entirely new storage architecture while sales kept flowing. Nobody noticed a thing — which was exactly the point.
Parallel warehouse scanners kept deadlocking each other mid-transaction. Instead of retry band-aids, I rewrote the locking patterns at the root — so collisions became impossible, not just rare.
